Steel Tempest drops you into the open cockpit of a brass-and-timber biplane soaring over a low-poly steampunk countryside. Your mission: defend your villages through 24 escalating waves of enemy bombers and tanks.
But you're not just a pilot — you're the commander. You lead an entire squadron of fighters, anti-air guns and tanks, hopping from unit to unit while the rest fight on under their own AI. A live tactical map lets you read the whole battle and send units straight to the hottest fights.
Bank, dive and boost across the map, hold fire on your auto-leading twin guns, and earn reinforcements as your score climbs. Hold the line to the final wave — because if every village falls or your whole force is wiped out, the war is lost.
How to play
- Fly with the mouse (drag) or WASD/arrows — pull back to climb, push to dive, bank to turn.
- Hold Space (or the FIRE button) to fire your auto-leading twin guns; tap Boost for a burst of speed.
- Press Q / E to change which unit you crew; press F to jump straight to the action.
- Open the tactical map (M) to survey the battle and order units to attack or defend.
- Defend your villages across all 24 waves — keep at least one village and one unit alive.
